Top 20+5 TV shows of the 00s

It's the last list i'll be posting! promise! we'll back to a regular schedule of silly panels before you know it from tomorrow :)

This time, my best bud Tyler is organising a vote for the 20 Favourite TV Shows of the 00s by the Greek blogosphere, following the relevant votes on films, albums, soundtracks and comics.

It's a pleasure to join in, especially since I owe Tyler for recommending more than half the TV series on this list

25. No Heroics

British super-heroes at the pub

24. Drawn Together

Betty Boop, Link from Zelda, Superman, Stimpy, Pikachu and Cinderella as Big Brother housemates

23. My Life on the D-List

Kathy Griffin giving a first-person eye view on what it takes to climb the celebrity ladder in Hollywood. Plus, fabulous

22. Futurama

Death by Snoo-Snoo

21. Friends

The quintessential sitcom. Would be higher if there was more of it in the 00s

20. Sex and the City

They've been where we have. Guilty gay pleasure

19. Glee

Even guiltier. High-school musical done properly and fabulously

18. The O.C.

90210 done with cohesive, relatable characters, who do not just randomly hook up with each other, and the greatest geek love story of the ages

17. Sopranos

would probavbly be higher, but I haven't finished it yet :)

16. Battlestar Galactica

would totally be #1 if not for that final season. Still in, solely on the strength of seasons 2-4.1

15. Arrested Development

cut down in its prime. the most dysfunctional family this side of Married with Children

14. the I.T. Crowd

funniest non-gag show to come out of British TV. Still waiting for a production of 'Gay: the musical'

13. Veronica Mars

brought Kristen Bell into our lives as the charming, wise-cracking, irresistibly lovable teen P.I.

12. How I Met Your Mother

the sitcom of the 00s, with the Gay of the 00s as the straightest man alive. Plus, SUITS. and the goat. and slapbet. and special effects, and websites and...

11. Pushing Daisies

the beautiful storybook romance story of the pie-maker who could raise the dead with a touch and his zombie childhood sweetheart as the ultimate crime-solving partnership

10. Dexter

the serial serial killer killer

9. True Blood

camp as fuck (and fangs). Vampires and bottled blood beverages and lots of sex and man-ass in the American South

8. Project Runway

must-watch campness. So much more than a fashion reality show.

7. Weeds

a self-help guide to self-destruction

6. Buffy the Vampire Slayer
5. Angel

Whedon is My Master now and forever. Angel scores higher for having all his awesome seasons in the 00s, and no Riley.

4. Six feet under

2001-2005

3. Survivor

19 seasons of plotting and scheming from TV's most strategic and viciously twisty game, all in the 00s. That's why.

2. LOST

the multi-platform event of the decade that managed to turn every season - heck, every episode into a world-wide event. Just hoping it doesn't pull a BSG for its ending this spring or I'm editing this post. :)

1. Grey’s Anatomy

fuck, I have never cried so much in my life for any reason as I've cried watching almost every episode of this series. Well played, Shonda. I'm even forgiving you your spin-offs here.
